A document designed for communities that want to adapt The Blueprint for Safety to their local setting. Based on the original policies and protocols adopted in Saint Paul, the birthplace of the Blueprint, this version contains additional suggested practices and policies that are considered to be effective intervention strategies. The 2020 version reflects recent enhancements to include specific attention and direction to two important aspects of criminal legal response to domestic violence: 1) language access for people with limited English proficiency and the Deaf and hard of hearing communities and 2) firearms surrender and retrieval.
